Resilience-building is a proven approach to regulating stress. HeartMath (www.heartmath.org) tools and techniques can help you respond to events and communications in ways that reduce stress, improve health, build effective relationships, and more. In this workshop you will learn on-the-go strategies and access your best self during times of pressure, challenge and change. Resilience practice guidelines for solving sleeplessness, easing fatigue, stopping emotional eating, cultivating compassion, improving communications, and enhancing your prayer and meditation practice will also be explored. You will go home with a personalized resilience action plan.
HeartMath’s Resilience Advantage Program is widely used by healthcare professionals, the military, veterans, police and first responders to combat PTSD and decrease behavioral issues. Over 15 years of group and individual HeartMath client results show significant, sustained improvements in health costs, productivity, stress levels, resilience, mental functioning and emotional well-being.
This workshop begins with check-in and continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and will conclude with the noon meal on Sunday. The cost for these retreats include overnight accommodations, delicious buffet meals, program fees, and a Resilience Advantage Workbook valued at $15.

Elizabeth Lewis has pursued a wide variety of interests and professional opportunities in the fields of education, art, writing and wellness. Her fiber and mixed media art works have been exhibited nationally. Her published writings include a chapter in the popular Italian language book Interruptio, poetry, short stories, and newspaper and magazine articles. Her educational background includes: a BFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College in Boston; certification in stress management (cht) through Horizons Stress Management Program, Milwaukee; certification in Franciscan Studies through Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee; certifications as a HeartMath Resilience Advantage Group Trainer, Coach/Mentor and 1-on-1 Coach through the Institute of HeartMath, Boulder Creek, California; certification as a QPR (National Suicide Prevention Program – QuestionPersuadeRefer) Gatekeeper Instructor; training in body, mind, spirit practices and trauma healing through Capacitar International; and approved teacher status, The Midwest Institute for Forgiveness Training in Minneapolis.
Ms. Lewis’s has a successful private personal development coaching practice in Mequon, Wisconsin. She travels internationally presenting motivational talks, lectures and workshops on HeartMath, dignity, forgiveness, stress management, healing art, and more, and leads yearly personal renewal tours to Villa Pieve in the Umbria region of Italy.
