Know Your Faith: Elements of Canon Law

Thursday, April 26  |  6:30-7:45 p.m.  |  Cost: Free Will Offering

You are invited to attend this free evening with Msgr. Joseph Diermeier of Marathon as he presents “Elements of Canon Law,” the first in our 2018 series called “Know Your Faith.”

What rights and responsibilities do we have as members of the Church? Are there any regulations with regard to the teaching of the faith? What about the Church acquiring or getting rid of church property? What are the crimes and punishments discussed by the Church? These are some of the issues covered in canon law and contained in the Code of Canon Law. The presentation will cover a brief look at some of the key elements found in the Code.

Msgr. Diermeier is currently the pastor of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Marathon and has completed a degree in canon law from the Catholic University of America.

Free Will Offering. RSVP not required, but appreciated so we can have enough handouts available. Call 715-443-2236 or email
