Pray It Forward: The Promises AA/Al-Anon Serenity Retreat

July 28-30, 2017  |  Cost: $185 (Commuter: $100)

Summer is the time when we surely witness the fruits of the earth in all their splendor. This is a wonderful time in which to reflect on the fruits of working our programs faithfully. These fruits are the fulfillment of the promises, which materialize as we work for them.

At this retreat, we will look at some of the promises, see their connection with the Bible, and learn how we can pray it forward.

This retreat is open to all recovering alcoholics, Al-Anon members and other 12 Step group members (men and women) of any denomination or belief background.

We gather to discover and share the joy and serenity of the spiritual substance of the 12 Step programs through talks, 12 Step meetings and opportunities for private consultation and prayer.

Sr. Elise Cholewinski, OSF, is a member of the community of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross. She is a current director of adult education programs throughout the diocese of Green Bay. She does spiritual direction and regularly does retreat work, including Twelve Step retreats, at the Jesuit Retreat House on Lake Winnebago.

This confidential retreat weekend starts with arrival and registration beginning at 5:30 p.m. and supper at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and concludes with the noon meal on Sunday. The cost for the weekend includes six delicious meals and overnight accommodations. A special scholarship fund is available specifically for people who would like to attend a serenity retreat but cannot because of financial limitations. Please call the Front Office to inquire.
