For God So Loved the World, But Do We?
Retreat with Sr. Dianne Bergant, CSA
September 14-16, 2018
Join us for a stimulating weekend as we delve into God’s vision for our relationship with the world.
The Biblical reflections for this retreat will be based on the teaching of Pope Francis as found in his encyclical letter, Laudato Si’. They will encourage a way of understanding our participation in the “community of Earth” based on respect rather than disregard, interconnectedness rather than manipulation, interdependency rather than exploitation.
Note: This weekend retreat is NOT silent.
The weekend begins with Friday supper at 6:30 p.m. and concludes with the Sunday noon meal. The cost includes overnight accommodations, delicious buffet meals, and program fees.
Sr. Dianne Bergant, CSA, is Carroll Stuhlmueller, CP Distinguished Professor Emerita of Biblical Studies at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. For more than 25 years she has been the Old Testament book reviewer of The Bible Today. She is currently working in the areas of biblical interpretation and biblical theology, particularly issues of peace and ecology. She is also the author of 14+ books, commentaries and CDs.
