Theology of the Body with Fr. Bob Streveler

Part of our monthly Know Your Faith series

Thursday, July 26  |  6:30-7:45 p.m.  |  Cost: Free Will Offering

You are invited to attend this free evening with Fr. Bob Streveler as he presents ”Theology of the Body,” part of our series called Know Your Faith.

St. John Paul II has been called one of the three great intellects of the Catholic Church – the others being St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas. Shortly after his election as pope in 1978 he began a series of talks during his Wednesday papal audiences that became known as Theology of the Body.

Christianity has been called the religion of the word made flesh. In Genesis 1:27 we read, “God created man in his image; in the divine image he created him; male and female he created them.” Let us together look at the dignity with which God has created us and what this means for how we should live our lives as his disciples.

Fr. Bob Streveler is a retired priest from the Diocese of La Crosse. He lives at St. Anthony’s as the priest-in-residence.

Free Will Offering. RSVP not required, but appreciated so we can have enough handouts available. Call 715-443-2236 or email info@sarcenter.com.
