As I was driving to work one day I noticed a harvested corn field. There in the middle of the field stood one lonely corn stock. It was missed by the machinery but it looks tall and strong standing at attention almost. What happened? How did it get missed?

Reflecting on this observation I wondered have I felt this way, alone, strong, or missed? If I did, what were the circumstances? How did I feel at that moment? What did I do?

As I stand alone in this field of life
The wind bends me from side to side
At times I get visited by the wildlife
Oh, to be one with nature as my guide

This time of year, the trees beauty starts to shine
But only for a short time
Be it may the great creature changes the design
Sharing this beauty for only a short time

So do not miss this time of year
With nature busy preparing for winter bound
Enjoy the beauty with God so near
Life goes on but not alone with nature all around
