‘Twas the week before Christmas, when all through the house
Only the residents were stirring, and maybe a mouse;
The boilers were humming, the weather was cold,
Everyone hoping the power lines would hold.
Tracy, Candy and Marge were all snug in their rooms,
The staff had all left to return to their homes.
No Jackies, no Jain, no Adele or Barb,
No Kim, no Cecilia, no Ron or JustBob.
Inside no guests, nothing much needs to be done,
Least till it’s time to get ready for December thirty-one.
The halls were so quiet, the rooms were all dark,
The change from November was really quite stark.
Out on the grounds, the trees were a’glitter,
With ice and snow from the latest storms of winter.
From the window I saw many branches had fallen,
The storms’ icy weight, all their strength it had stolen.
With the blanket of white from the new-fallen snow
Each moment of sunshine gave the landscape a glow.
The beauty was such that we all could behold,
Especially since no one need be out on the road.
With no one around, there’s no stories to tell,
But, still, rest assured that all is well.
We just want to say from everyone here
Blessed Christmas to all, and to all a blessed New Year!
And Deo Gratias!
Very meaningful, beautiful reflection!!!
Stay safe in the cold,
hope the boilers will hold.
God Bless You All
Merry Christmas 🤶

Merry Christmas Marge,Tracy and Candy. I love your poem.
May you find Peace in the quiet, the darkness of night
May it bring you comfort and warmth –
fill you inside wth a internal light.
May the Spirit of the Lord
