The strength of your trust in God can be tested. This can happen many times during your lifetime. Some may be small, some maybe big and then there are those that seem enormous.
As you look back at these times, how did you handle the test? Did you happen to be one of those who asked God, “Why me?” or did you ask God to be with you during this time with guidance, strength and love?
Recently I had one of these tests. It was something I did not think would happen to me. Looking back I thought about those who ask God, “Why me” and wondered is that what I really want to ask? I found myself thinking I need God to be with me by my side.
I asked God to help me through this time of testing and unknown. It was a powerful moment when I realized that I did trust God. I felt this calming feeling come over me. It was not as if I knew that everything would be fine, but I knew that with God I was going to get through this.
Of course having my family and friends praying for me is a very important part of getting through any time of testing. But knowing that God is always with us is the best thing you can do, especially, when a test happens upon your path.
The morning fog
Rises above the trees
Union of the sky and earth
Sun rays peak above the earth
The cardinal sings it’s welcome song
Inspired with this precious moment
Nodding off just does not seem right
God is calling to come with him
On this day we will walk together
Do not worry for I am with you
