Around this time of year people have a tendency to feel a little more thankful or reflect on the things they are grateful for. But you know this feeling or reflecting should not just be around the Thanksgiving holiday. We should be thankful and grateful all year long.
Yes, Thanksgiving is the time for spoken gratitude and acknowledging those we are thankful to have in our lives. But think about extending this into the year with monthly, weekly, daily thoughts of gratitude. Maybe a journal just for these gratitudes can help you. It allows you to look back and see how your heart’s eye has grown to see so many things that you are grateful for. It can be heart warming to realize what you had been taking for granted or maybe that you just overlooked so many things.
This Thanksgiving take the time to be with your family and let them know you love them. Be blessed with the bountiful harvest that fills your table. Embrace the November winds that bring the winter cold. Enjoy the child’s laughter and smile as they enjoy the moment. Remember to share your gifts with those you meet. Visit a neighbor who might be alone and listen as they share their life with you. Be grateful for all God has given you this year.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes, be thankful!! I especially like your sentence: “Embrace the November winds that bring the winter cold. ” Yes even the winds of winter – everything!
