As I walk in the rain today, our last warm morning before the cold sets in, I lift the world up in prayer. Since the election I continue to say I did what was mine to do, but I believe that there is more!
There’s prayer everyday especially for those that are unkind and just plain mean. I will not put more evil and anger in the world, instead I have decided to continue to be generous and kind and love. This is a very hard thing to do, especially for those whom I dislike, or disagree with, but I believe it is where God is calling me to in this moment.
I will pray for President-Elect Trump and the people that he appoints. I will pray that God will lead them in their decisions. I believe it is in Romans that states hope does not disappoint us. I will remain hopeful.
“And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” – Romans 5:5
The verse explains that hope can be steady and never disappointing because of the love of God that fills our hearts through the Holy Spirit. It also says that we can find joy in the present, even in times of trouble, and that these experiences can lead to patient endurance, mature character, and hope.

Thank you Tammy for this message. It can be a struggle for me but as a follower of Jesus I try to always be kind and to show love and respect to all my brothers and sisters and pray for our country.

Thank you, Tammie! I, too, praying for the President-elect even on days when my feelings of hope are almost non-existent !
