Volunteer Opportunities & Projects

Stay tuned for a list of volunteer opportunities and a list of our projects in need.

  • St. Anthony’s is hoping that one of our wonderful volunteers may be interested in helping oversee our volunteer community. The responsibilities would depend on the amount of time that you are able to dedicate to us. If you are interested in helping us in this way, please contact Jackie Kellner at jackiek@sarcenter.com or 715-443-2236 Ext 116 to discuss the details.
  • Marketing Expertise Needed! St. Anthony’s needs folks with successful marketing expertise to join our Marketing Committee. If you have experience and passion in this area and able to help us on a volunteer basis, please contact Jackie Kellner at jackiek@sarcenter.com or 715-443-2236 Ext 116.
  • St. Anthony’s is looking to add to our crew of retreat hosts. Taking care of our retreatants is the host’s primary job, and it is a lovely way to give back. As a host, you are able to split duties/times with another host OR help out for an entire retreat, whichever fits best into your schedule. Whether you have prior experience or just want to give it a try, we would love to hear from YOU! Please contact Jackie Kellner for more details.
  • Do you enjoy working in the woods? We need your help to clean up our woods after the logging that was done last fall. Cutting down trees, piling brush, and cutting buckthorn are some of the tasks that need to be done. These ongoing tasks can flex with your schedule. Please contact JustBob at 715-443-2236, Ext 113 for more details.
  • Flyer Volunteers Needed! This is an ongoing job with a flexible schedule. Help us get the word out by posting our flyers around the town that you reside in! For more details, contact Cecilia at 715-443-2236 Ext 139.
  • Lawn mowers needed! JustBob needs help keeping up with lawn mowing. Our yard is quite large and the grass grows fast with the abundance of rain this year. If you have experience running a commercial zero-turn mower and a few hours of time to donate during your week, please contact JustBob at 715-443-2236 Ext 113 for details.

How Can I Contribute?

If life doesn’t allow you to spend time volunteering, perhaps you are able to contribute financially to the general operations fund or our special scholarship fund. There are several ways to do this. You may donate directly through our website, or if you are more comfortable, mail a check to St. Anthony Spirituality Center, 300 E. 4th St., Marathon, WI 54448. Many of our volunteers become Ministry Associates, pledging to give on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis. You may also contact the Front Office at 715-443-2236 for other options.
