I believe that home is within. I am the dwelling place. Is my dwelling place welcoming and peaceful, or unfriendly and selfish? What kind of home is being built? Am I moving toward Source or away?
Listening to my spirit conversing with what I call Source has not let me down. It’s not separate from my body, it is a part of. It feeds me and softens me. Discernment of this Source’s spirit is profound work and also needs to be shared with an Anam Cara (Soul friend).
There are many among us who are wise in these spiritual matters. We meet so many teachers along this journey home: grandparents, parents, siblings, children, grandchildren, aunts and uncles, religious authorities, spiritual directors, mental health counselor. Maybe you can remember some of life’s lessons that have come through them.
The journey can get very hard when we don’t accept life on life’s terms. This journey is not a straight line. It’s full of emotional, physical and spiritual ups and downs, hills and valleys.
Each day is a new beginning, a new road trip, of experience, strength and hope. May we all be open to the journey inward.
Prayers for your journey.

Thank you for your beautiful reflection. We do in indeed meet teachers on this life’s journey often in the most unexpected places! God is constantly trying to wake us up. I remember St Francis’s question, ” who are you, God and who am I?”
